Below is a selection of the Nerdiest Holiday Greetings I sent out over the years, enjoy!

The ‘AI’ has taken over my transceiver!
…. Once again it’s the time of year again with my geeky, nerdy, holiday greeting.
As the last couple of years it is again a video and also the longest one so far (my apologies upfront!). But everything is real, no cheating or file manipulation 😊
Check the video ‘The ‘AI’ has taken over my transceiver!’ below
(Make sure to set the video quality to 1080 and maximize the screen and don’t forget to turn on the audio as well!) …

Rare video footage with a hidden message from our FEC …
… While creating a recording to demonstrate the FEC error tree capability in Agilex F-tile, I was able to capture the attached footage that is a must see.
Please make sure to turn on also the audio for the full experience and put it in full screen mode!

It’s the time of the year again to do something different with your Stratix 10 TX board …
… and that is to transform it into a “High Speed” drone!
(note at the time it came with a page on the Intel community wiki pages where you could order it, unfortunately that page has been removed …)

(BTW The drone did exist 😊 …)

2019
My board is already on vacation …
… As you can see my board is already in full holiday spirit 😊

2018
Forget about PAM4, during the holiday season it is SAM4 instead …
From now until beginning of January my Stratix 10 Tx boards will be modulating snow instead of electrical signals, hence SAM4 is born (Snow Amplitude Modulation).
The actual throughput isn’t that great but it’s the holiday season after all 😉 …

Crete2E eye diagram showing holiday message …
.. I got a very early eye measurement from the Crete2E tile in serial loopback (see download link below ) and after opening it with the new Advanced Link Analyzer Viewer (which can be downloaded here : S10 GX H-tile 64 Channel Demo design ) it showed the message in the screenshot below ::
So I guess also our silicon is telling us Happy Holidays 😊!

2016
I guess I should stop working cause they are tearing down my backplane …

2015
Somebody left me a message on the frozen windshield of my car ….

Altera unveils new testchip for the holiday season ….
With this new specially “doped” FinFET transistor you will not only get up to 70% lower power and much higher performance but more importantly 100% increase in happiness and good luck 😉

2012
This was kind of lazy 😊

2011
… Even our highest speed 28 Gbps transceivers are running the “2012” protocol as can be seen from the measurement below …

… I created two simple picture puzzles representing the holiday season (or nonograms) : The rules are simple : You have a grid of squares, which must be either filled in black or marked with X. Beside each row of the grid are listed the lengths of the runs of black squares on that row. Above each column are listed the lengths of the runs of black squares in that column. Your aim is to find all black squares. Enjoy!
An easy one:

and a bit more challenging:
